JUNO Self Defense

Our bigger cause.

The JUNO Foundation has been established in 2019 as a non-profit in order to help End Violence Against Women and Girls. The United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. Of the 17 goals defined by the UN, JUNO contributes to Goal No. 5 “GENDER EQUALITY”.
1 in 3 women has experienced physical and/or sexual violence. “The pandemic has led to a steep increase in violence against women and girls. With lockdown measures in place, many women are trapped at home with their abusers, struggling to access services that are suffering from cuts and restrictions. Emerging data shows that, since the outbreak of the pandemic, violence against women and girls – and particularly domestic violence – has intensified.

We want to change this and make women and girls around the world stronger, more self-aware and safe through Self Defense and ResilienceTraining. We aim to support social women empowerment projects and social causes around the world.

JUNO C.V. donates 5% of it’s profits to the JUNO Foundation.

Project Fearless provides after school programs for Amsterdam girls (9-14), inspiring bravery and leadership with a community impact.

Its mission is to enable more girls to become scientists, engineers, builders, makers, creators or to get to the top of any ladder they wish to climb.

Project Fearless wants to equip girls with the tools to succeed in any aspect of their lives by plugging the gap currently left by society. By enabling girls to define how they see themselves from scratch, we will, in turn, rewrite how the world views girls in general.

Together with JUNO, Project Fearless organises empowerment events for underprivileged young girls in Amsterdam Zuidoost.
